FLANNELLE DE SOIE

An all-spun silk plain weave fabric finished in a dull lustreless style. Bold stripes are produced from dyed warp yam, and weft both white or coloured. A firm texture is produced of a poplin character such as 100 X 60 to 120 X 80. Generally two-fold warp and single weft. Used for ladies' wear in summer. One quality is made 38-in., 110 ends and 80 picks per inch, 60's/2 warp, 60's/1 weft, all spun silk yarns.
